Tutorial: Add Quicq CDN
Introduction:
In this guide, you will learn how to install and configure Quicq for your website. By integrating Quicq, you will improve the user experience and loading time of your web pages thanks to faster image delivery.
Preparation:
Before you begin, you must create an account at https://afosto.app. Ensure that you are logged into your Afosto account and follow these steps:
- Go to the apps section and select Quicq to install it.
Step-by-step guide:
- After Quicq is installed, click on your profile in the top-right corner and select 'Admin Environment'.
- A screen with an overview of your account settings will open. Choose 'Quicq' under the apps section on this screen.
- You will arrive at an overview page of Quicq with a list of all configured Quicq CDNs. If you just installed Quicq, this list will be empty. Click on 'Add' in the top-right corner to start setting up your CDN.
- Choose a unique URL extension, for example, an abbreviation of your brand or company name.
- Set the path to the images on your website. Images are usually located in a specific folder on your website. You can set the path in two ways:

Advanced settings: By default, images are cached in a browser for a certain amount of time. This caching ensures that images are served faster when someone visits a page more frequently. With Quicq, the default caching settings generated by your platform are overridden. In the advanced settings, you can manage the following:
- Prevent the default settings from being overridden.
- Change the number of days that the image is retained in the cache.
